Older Adults Instructor Training Program
|
The YMCA of Canberra in partnership with The WISE Academy
is offering the Instructor's Training Course for Older Adults. This 16 hour course will teach you the theory and practise of instructing community physical activity programs for older people.
The course includes one weekend of two 8-hour sessions. Site visits will also be arranged to broaden your perspective on physical activity and ageing. Gain recognition through Canberra's best Older Adults Instructor Training.
Dates and Times: Saturday, August 30th and Sunday, August 31st from 9am-5pm.
Location: The WISE Academy, 8/14 Brierly Street, Weston (between Pool Werx and Sassy Hair) and YMCA of Canberra, Chifley.
Cost: Assessed: $595 which includes an instructor’s starter kit of equipment including an activities manual and an assessment to gain Competency in SRFOLD001B and 5-7 CECs potentially; Non-Assessed: $395 which includes an instructor’s starter kit of equipment including an activities manual.

Be a Pole Walking Coach!

LEVEL I --- 15 CECs for $99 (over $250 in savings)
When: Sat., September 6th & Sun, September 7th: 9 am - 4 pm
Location: The WISE Academy – 8/14 Brierly Street, Weston, ACT
All Participants will receive:
- Fitness Australia accreditation certificate with 15 CEC points
- Pole Walking Coach Level 1with Course Manual to all participants
- Copy of DVD on Pole Walking technique by the original founding expert
- Copy of “How to get started with Pole Walking” DVD
- 2 yrs registration to the PoleAbout International Network Your Life Support
- Assistance from PoleAbout International Network in media release preparation
- International Global Coach is willing to do any media interviews that can be organised by you or your organisation
