EDGE Health Club

The EDGE Health Club is Weston Creek's community club for health and fitness.  The centre has a new look, new equipment and new people!  There is a cardio theatre, group exercise room, and a variety of pin-loaded and free weight equipment.  There is even a creche (open specific times).  EDGE is located at 45 Liardet Street, Weston.  Ring them on 6287 3707 for more information.



mpowerdome is the first multipurpose, multi-sport facility of its kind in Australia. Officially opened by Senator Gary Humphries and Angie Skirving OAM, Hockeyroo and Peter Johnstone on July 29 2006, the company’s core business is to ‘bring out the best in people’. mpowerdome implements this purpose by:
  • developing healthy empowered individuals;
  • delivering learner-centered professional programs in sport and physical activity reflecting the community’s needs;
  • promoting active participation in sport, physical activity and life-long;
  • encourage interdependence;
  • generating career development; and
  • demonstrating honesty and integrity.




Sports Medicine Australia (SMA) is Australia’s peak national umbrella body for sports medicine and sports science, and is widely acknowledged overseas as the world’s leading multi-disciplinary sports medicine body. Through its individual and organisational members, SMA is Australia's peak advisory body on all medical and health issues for active people - from weekend enthusiasts of all ages through to elite level competition. The safe participation of Australians in sport and healthy physical activity at all stages of life is the primary concern for all involved with Sports Medicine Australia. Sports Medicine Australia can provide expert information, advice and commentary on a diverse range of issues. These range from government policy and funding for Sports Medicine and community activity through to sports health, gender equity, participation of the aged in sport, safe sport for children, to drugs in sport problems. Sports Medicine Australia plays an active role in educating professionals and sports-minded community members and in assisting all active people to achieve optimal benefits from their exercise, activity and competition.
